The Puakalehua Consortium will join community organizations across the country in observing the National Provider Appreciation Day® on May 6 to celebrate the efforts of local child care providers.

Provider Appreciation Day is celebrated the Friday before Mother’s Day every year to recognize child care providers, teachers and other educators of young children everywhere.

Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA) convenes Provider Appreciation Day annually to amplify our nation’s collective gratitude for those who support the social, emotional and physical care of our youngest children.

During the week of April 25, 2022, in preparation of National Provider Appreciation Day, Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi Moku Team hand delivered 100

E Mālama I Nā Kumu Kits to Preschools throughout Hawaiʻi Island as our way of saying MAHALO to each and every kumu who care for young keiki each day.

To ALL In-home Family Child Care Providers (FCC), Home Visitors,  Family & Child Interactive Learning Kumu (FCIL), Center-based Preschool Kumu, MAHALO NUI for the work that you do each day to uplift keiki & ʻohana.
